Bring on the Summer Fun!

(FYI this is a repost) Happy Humpday! I hope everyone's summer is going swimmingly! There's still time to enjoy the Spoleto Festival for those who are interested. It wraps up on Sunday. And before we know it, we'll be celebrating the 4th of July! It seems as though time is flying faster. Maybe it's an age thing...the older you get, the days go by in a flash. I have been doing some cleaning out of my house lately, and I came across a relic from a project from elementary school. It was a poem I had written that was encased in acrylic. Never mind that there was a typo in line one. Instead of the word "about," it should have said, "I bought." When I saw it the other day, I started to laugh. The poem was written in the 70s, and based on the prices of things these days, it seems like we're repeating history. Who knew I was a savant in grade school? Ha! And to keep things light at a time when filling up your car with gas is a tear-jerker, here's a link to a parody of one of my favorite songs, "Zirples", by Post Malone.

Funny how so many things in life are cyclical. This seems to be the case with inflation, but the same is true with plastic surgery. Many techniques and technologies that were once unpopular reinvent themselves to become popular again. For example, there was a time when the underarm approach for breast augmentation was the "it thing," but now the trend is back to the scar placement in the inframammary fold, or under the breast. I will continue to try to keep updated on the recent plastic surgery trends and help sort through the fads and fiction when it comes to plastic surgery, and always feel free to contact us if you have questions about things you read about or see posted on social media.

We also continue to support Coolsculpt technology, and this is a great thing to consider during the summer as an alternative to liposuction. You don't need to wear those hot compression garments after Coolsculpting, and it's a way to work on that beach-ready body! My last announcement is that we are now offering Upneeq. This is an eye drop medicine that opens up your eyes and addresses ptosis or droopiness of your eyelids. It works quickly and the results are impressive! Call and ask for Kelly if you are interested!

Enjoy the rest of your week.

'Til next time.
